At the moment, Armenia’s agenda does not include the issue of leaving the CSTO and withdrawing the Russian base, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan told reporters, commenting on the statement of Russian MP Konstantin Zatulin about the possibility of withdrawing the Russian base from Armenia and Yerevan leaving the CSTO and the EAEU, according to Report.
"At this stage, at the moment, there are no such issues on our agenda," he said.
When asked how he assessed relations between Yerevan and Moscow against the backdrop of mutual accusations between officials, Safaryan noted that there are working relations between the countries.
"Naturally, there are disagreements on some issues. We continue to work to respond to them," Safaryan said.
Zatulin earlier expressed concern that the recent trends towards deterioration in relations between Armenia and Russia in the future may call into question the presence of the Russian base in Gumri, Armenia’s membership in the CSTO and the EAEU.
