Armenia sees rise in divorces, drop in newborns

IN January-August 2022, 22,964 babies were born in Armenia, down 476 babies from the previous year, Report informs, citing the Statistical Committee of the country.
During the reporting period, 10,880 marriages were solemnized in the country, which is less than the figure for the first eight months of 2021.
But besides this, the country has seen an increase in the number of divorce cases. In the reporting period, 2,981 cases of divorce were registered (+90).
