Armenia's COVID-19 death toll hits 631

As of July 18 in the morning, 34 462 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Armenia. The number of infected in one day has grown by 461, Report says, citing RIA Novosti.

According to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the country, 23 123   people have recovered so far, while 10 507 are getting treatment.

The total death toll reached 631, as  11 other patients died with COVID-19.

Yesterday, Armenia reported  34 462 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection and 620 deaths. As part of the fight against COVID-19, the country declared a state of emergency from March 16 to August 12.

Armenia reported its first coronavirus infection on March 1, in a citizen returning from neighboring Iran, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on Facebook.

The 29-year-old, who arrived in the former Soviet nation on Friday, went to a doctor because he was not feeling well.
