Armenia's coronavirus deaths reach 2,931

Armenia confirmed 157 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 162,288, Report informs, citing the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.
The death toll has reached 2,931 as two more succumbed to the deadly pathogen. As many as 149,873 people have recovered from the infection so far.
There are currently 8,782 active coronavirus patients in the country.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to more than 200 countries and territories since then.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
