Armenia reports sharp increase in number of measles cases

The number of detected cases of measles has increased sharply in Armenia, with the figure reaching 41 last week, Armenia's National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
Report informs via Armenian media that among those infected, 18 are children. According to data for this year, 241 patients were infected with measles. Of them, 141 are children and 100 are adults. At least 22 citizens were hospitalized.
The total number of confirmed cases of measles infection in the republic has reached 786.
