In Armenia, the prices of sunflower oil, flour (both 30-40%), bread, and sugar have risen before the New Year, said Karen Chilingaryan, chairwoman of the Consumer Consultations Center, a non-governmental organization.
Report informs, citing Armenian media, that this is due to increasing prices in Russia, which imports these products.
"The country also recorded growth for citrus products. One of the reasons for it is the devaluation of the dram. Against the background of rising prices, economic entities have reduced bread weight to keep the same price," she said.
