Armenian Special Representative Ruben Rubinyan stated that Yerevan expects more substantive discussions with Turkey on the possibility of normalizing bilateral relations, Report informs, citing TASS.
"Yerevan expects more substantive negotiations with Ankara at the next meeting. If the agenda is serious enough and substantive, we can think about different meetings or formats for holding them. But I consider it premature to talk about this topic," Rubinyan said.
According to him, Yerevan is interested in holding substantive negotiations. "Insubstantial negotiations can simply create an imitation, and we are interested in solving real problems. And the real problem, first of all, is the opening of the border. Secondly, the establishment of diplomatic relations. We are doing everything possible to make the process meaningful, and we expect the same approach from the Turkish side," he said.
