Armenia extradits 8 prisoners to Iran

Armenia extradited eight prisoners to Iran and they will continue to serve their sentences there, the Iranian Deputy Justice Minister for Human Rights and International Affairs Askar Jalaliani, Report informs via the Tasnim agency.
Another Iranian prisoner was extradited from Japan, the deputy minister said.
He added that the extradition process was carried out as a result of cooperation between the Iranian, Armenian and Japanese justice and foreign affairs ministries under previously inked agreements.
The majority of Iranian citizens imprisoned abroad were convicted of drug possession.
