Armenia: Coronavirus death toll reaches 2,400

Armenia confirmed 1,138 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 144,066, Report says, citing the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.
The death toll reached 2,393 as 21 more fell victims to the virus. So far, 120,532 people have recovered from the infection.
There are currently 20,540 active coronavirus patients in the country.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to more than 200 countries and territories since then.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
