Armenia has begun construction of observation posts for border guards on a delimited section of the border with Azerbaijan near the village of Voskepar, Report informs referring to Sputnik Armenia.
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan was informed about this during a trip to the border villages of the Tavush region, where he visited the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Voskepar.
The Chief of Staff of the Border Troops of the National Security Service of Armenia, Edgar Hunanyan, showed the prime minister one of the border pillars, which is located in the ravine behind the church.
He noted that the Armenian side has already begun construction of observation posts for border guards. “We have installed six observation posts; the Azerbaijani side has not yet carried out engineering work; they are building roads and are positioned openly. All agreements that have been reached are being implemented,” said the chief of staff of the border troops. After Voskepar, Pashinyan headed to neighboring border villages.
