Armenia: 590 more tested positive for COVID-19

Armenia confirmed 590 new coronavirus cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 196, 634, Report informs, citing the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.
The death toll has reached 3, 575 as 17 more succumbed to the deadly pathogen. As many as 176,009 people have recovered from the disease. There are active 16,150 COVID-19 patients in the country.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province and has spread to more than 200 countries and territories since then.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
