Armed persons detained in Armenia

The police in Armenia's Vanadzor have detained armed persons, Report informs referring to local media.

The Taron regional police department received an operational message that a group of people had illegal weapons and ammunition in a car on one of the streets of Vanadzor.

Six people and a VAZ-21010 car were delivered to the department.

During a personal search of a 32-year-old man, a pistol with 7 cartridges and a folding knife 22 cm long were found. Three bullets and a clip with six bullets were found in the bag of a 35-year-old man. When examining the car in the driver's seat next to the driver, a Makarov-type pistol with 6 cartridges was found.

A forensic medical examination has been initiated. An investigation is underway.
