Arestovich: Russia used 97 tactical groups in Ukraine, 15 of them completely destroyed

Russia used 97 tactical groups in Ukraine, of which 15 were completely destroyed, another 18 lost their combat effectiveness, Advisor to the Head of Ukraine's Presidential Office Oleksii Arestovich told a briefing at the Media Center of Ukraine, Report informs, citing Ukrainian media.

"We see a significant depletion of the enemy. Russia has used 97 tactical groups. Of these, 15 have been completely destroyed, 18 have lost combat effectiveness, ten remain as they can still be deployed," Arestovich said.

According to him, there were no significant changes in the position of the opposite side and the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the day. The occupiers are trying to cordon Ukrainian troops in the JFO zone from Izium and cut off Mariupol, he said.

As for Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, the Russian troops take tactical actions to improve their positions.

At the same time, the invaders are deliberately trying to bomb residential areas, Arestovich said.

"On average, one out of four missiles is shot down by our air defense; one hits the invader's target, one hits civilian areas. Looking at the statistics of hits, we understand that the enemy bombed Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv on purpose, knowing that the target was residential areas. As for Kyiv, so far, this has not been observed. In the case of the capital city, this is most likely the wrong aiming. In the western part of Ukraine, the enemy targeted residential areas," he said.
