The Turkish Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned Israel's threats against Turkish diplomats in Tel Aviv, stating that such intimidation tactics cannot lead to peace in Gaza.
According to Report, which cites TASS, the statement comes after Israel summoned the Turkish Deputy Ambassador to express displeasure over the Turkish diplomatic mission lowering its national flag in honor of the recently assassinated Hamas political bureau chief, Ismail Haniyeh.
Oncu Keceli, the official spokesperson for the Turkish Foreign Ministry, took to social media platform X to voice Türkiye's stance on the matter.
Peace cannot be achieved by killing negotiators and threatening diplomats, Keceli wrote.
