Ambassador of Ukraine: Restoring peace remains a dream

Restoring peace in Ukraine remains a dream, Ukrainian Ambassador to Türkiye, Vasily Bodnar, told Turkish press, Report informs.

He said that if Russia withdraws from the occupied territories, there will be a ceasefire: "But it does not seem convincing that Russia will take such a step yet. Russia is increasingly armed and strengthening its army. Our priority is the summer peace summit in Switzerland. On March 8, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed this issue."

According to the diplomat, since Russia is strengthening its armaments, Ukraine is also doing so: "In such a situation, restoration of peace is a dream."
