I am proud to bring Israel and Turkiye together again, said Israel's new ambassador to Turkiye, Irit Lillian, Report informs.

"Thank you, dear friends, for your warm wishes after being chosen as the designated Ambassador of Israel in Turkiye. So honored to continue this journey, putting two amazing countries," she tweeted.

On September 19, Israel appointed Irit Lillian as its new ambassador to Turkiye, for the first time since 2018.

She was already serving as Israel's charge de affairs in Ankara.
