Ambassador: Exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine can be carried out through Turkiye

The exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine can be carried out through Turkiye, Ukraine's Ambassador to Turkiye Vasyl Bodnar said, Report informs, citing the Turkish press.

According to him, the prisoner exchange is currently being carried out on the Ukrainian-Russian border: "About 50-100 captives are exchanged each time. If necessary, this exchange will be carried out through Turkiye. A similar thing happened in September. In general, Turkiye plays a major role in humanitarian issues. I am sure that Ankara will continue this role in the exchange of wounded and prisoners."

The diplomat said this is a long-term dialogue: "The result is important for us. The return of our captives is a must for us."

Bodnar emphasized that Ukraine's 10-point peace proposal guarantees stability in the region: "We all know that the aggressor can also attack other countries. Therefore, this topic is important not only for us but also for others. Our goal is to ensure peace and prevent a third world war."
