Almaty hostel fire leaves 13 people dead

A fire in a hostel in Almaty has claimed 13 lives, Report informs citing the city Department of Emergency Situations.
According to the information, the total area of the fire was preliminary 30 square meters.
"By the measures taken, the fire was extinguished at 06:22 (04:22 Baku time). During reconnaissance and extinguishing the fire, 13 people were previously found dead, their identities are being established. By preliminary version, their death was caused by carbon monoxide poisoning. There were 72 people in the hostel, 59 people self-evacuated. A total of 46 people and 13 units of equipment of the Almaty Emergency Situations Department were involved at the site of the fire," the report notes.
