Ali Akbar Ahmadian: Iran committed to supporting territorial integrity of Azerbaijan

Iran is committed to its position of recognizing the Karabakh region as part of Azerbaijan, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Akbar Ahmadian said during a meeting with Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan for Special Assignments Khalaf Khalafov, who is currently on a visit to Tehran, Report informs via IRNA.

Regarding the situation in the region, Ahmadian noted the importance of dialogue and efforts by countries to establish peace, stability and sustainable security. At the same time, he noted that the Iranian side is against the interference of third forces in the affairs of the region.

He also drew attention to the desire of the leaders of Iran and Azerbaijan to strengthen bilateral relations in all areas, and also confirmed Tehran’s readiness to cooperate in this direction.
