Moscow reacts too emotionally and angrily to the initiatives of the West to normalize Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, said, Report informs, citing Sputnik Armenia.
He said that official Moscow has a certain role in the processes, and this cannot be denied: "Because there are Russian peacekeepers in the region. Nevertheless, Russia's reactions are more emotional than they should be."
Simonyan believes that the reaction of the Russian side should be calmer and more restrained: "Moscow must understand the situation. Armenia has its interests. These interests must be pursued regardless of anyone's wishes."
