A total of 266 aftershocks were recorded in Istanbul by the morning of April 24, following a 6.2-magnitude earthquake that struck near Silivri in the Sea of Marmara at 12:49 PM yesterday, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said, Report informs via Turkish media.
"By 09:00 today, 266 aftershocks had been recorded—258 of them with magnitudes between 0 and 4, seven with magnitudes between 4 and 5, and one with a magnitude above 5," the statement said.
