14 people were injured as a result of an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in Yelabuga and Nizhnekamsk (Tatarstan), the press service of the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, said, Report informs, citing the local press.
Six of the injured are being treated.
According to the Ukrainian press, the attack carried out on April 2 was a joint operation of the Security Service of Ukraine and the General Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is located in Yelabuga. According to Ukrainian mass media, there is an enterprise where UAVs are produced. The target of the attack on the SEZ was the factory where Shahed UAVs are assembled. In the Nizhnekamsk territory, there is a TANECO plant, which processed 16.2 million tons of oil in 2022 and ranks fifth in the ranking of Russia's largest oil refineries.
