Zelensky: Russia preparing decisive energy blow to Europe

The Russian Federation is preparing a decisive energy strike against European countries this winter, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said, Report informs.

“Russia is trying to increase the energy pressure on Europe even more. Gas pumping through the Nord Stream has completely stopped. Why are they doing this? They want to destroy the life of every European in all the countries of our continent, and they want to weaken and intimidate all of Europe, every nation. Where the Russian Federation cannot do it with force and weapons, it does it with energy weapons. It is trying to strike with poverty and political chaos where it cannot yet strike with missiles,” Zelensky noted.

According to him, all European countries need even more mutual assistance and unity to protect themselves from this.

“This winter, Russia is preparing for a decisive energy strike against all Europeans. And the key answers should be two things. The first is our unity in defense against the terrorist country, the second is strengthening our pressure on the Russian Federation, boosting all levels of sanctions, and restricting its oil and gas revenues,” Zelensky added.
