Yemen's PM to travel to Moscow on February 26

The head of the internationally recognized government of Yemen, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, will arrive in Moscow on February 26 and is expected to hold several meetings, the Yemeni Embassy in Moscow said, Report informs via TASS.
“The arrival is expected this evening. He is expected to meet with [Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav] Volodin, [Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina] Matvienko and [Russian Foreign Minister Sergey] Lavrov in the coming days,” the embassy noted.
Earlier, the Yemeni state agency Saba said that bin Mubarak intends to discuss with Russian officials issues of bilateral relations, some aspects of the regional agenda, as well as “Russia’s role in helping to establish security and peace in Yemen.”
Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak was appointed head of the Yemeni government on February 5, retaining the post of Foreign Minister, which he has held since late 2020. This is his first foreign visit as prime minister of the republic.
