Yashar Guler names conditions for Türkiye's withdrawal from Syria

Türkiye does not need anyone's land, Turkish National Defense Minister Yashar Guler said in an interview to Milliyet, Report informs.

"How can we leave Syria without creating safe conditions?" he said.

The Minister said that the purpose of operations such as 'Olive Branch' and 'Euphrates Shield' was to ensure the safety of Turkish citizens:

"Now that some are demanding that we leave Syria, we will not leave the area. First, the necessary conditions must be created. The constitution should be adopted and elections should be held. A government must be formed. After that, we will gladly leave Syria."
