Xi Jinping says necessary to adhere to partnership with EU

China hopes to develop strategic partnerships with the EU, Chinese President Xi Jinping said at a trilateral meeting in Paris with French President Emmanuel Macron and the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Report informs referring to TASS.
“China has always viewed relations between China and the EU from a strategic and long-term point of view,” China Central Television quoted him as saying. “We hope that relations between China and France, as well as between China and the EU, will <…> develop together.”
He added that China and the EU, “as two important powers in the world, should adhere to partnership, persist in dialogue and cooperation, and deepen strategic communication.”
