Xi Jinping: China will continue to support resolution of situation in Ukraine

China will continue to contribute to resolving the situation in Ukraine, Chinese President Xi Jinping said during a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Report informs via Chinese media.

“China will continue to promote peace and negotiations. There are no simple solutions to complex issues,” he noted.

The Chinese leader said Beijing welcomes the fact that Russia and the United States are maintaining contacts to improve relations and are working toward a political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.

In addition, Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin agreed to promote the further development of China–Russia relations.
