WHO director-general: ‘Israel's Rafah operation will be a humanitarian catastrophe’

The military operation of the Israeli army in the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip will cause a humanitarian catastrophe, the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, wrote on X, Report informs.
“A full scale invasion of Rafah would be a humanitarian catastrophe. We appeal to Israel not to proceed. We urge all parties to work for a ceasefire and lasting peace,” the director general stated.
