The food situation in Gaza is critical, World Health Organization (WHO) representative Richard Peeperkorn said at a briefing in Geneva, Report informs.
According to Peeperkorn, while officially it is not yet possible to declare a famine in Gaza, this does not change the fact that the food situation is critical in the strip.
He noted that this is all the more surprising as the enclave which manufactured all kinds of products had never faced any food problem.
The speed at which the situation has deteriorated in such a short period of time is unprecedented, Peeperkorn said.
