US urges Americans to leave Belarus due to Lithuania’s checkpoint closure

The US State Department has called on American citizens to leave Belarus immediately, Report informs referring to the website of the US Embassy in Minsk.
“US citizens in Belarus should depart immediately. Consider departing via the remaining border crossings with Lithuania and Latvia, or by plane. US citizens are not permitted to enter Poland overland from Belarus,” reads the message.
