US, UK to send troops to Afghanistan

The US is sending an additional 3,000 troops into Afghanistan to help evacuate some personnel from the embassy in Kabul, said the Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby.
The British Government has said it will also be sending 600 troops to Afghanistan to help British nationals flee as the Taliban continue to seize territory around the country.
