The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs is aware of the presence of the USS Helena submarine in the country's waters but insists that these visits should be by invitation, Deputy Foreign Minister of Cuba, Carlos Fernandez de Cossio Dominguez said, Report informs, citing Cubadebate.
"We knew about their existence because [...] the US informed us in advance," the diplomat noted:
"However, it is clear that we do not like the presence of this type of vessel belonging to a country that has an official policy of hostility towards Cuba in our territory and passing through our waters," he added.
