The administration of US President Donald Trump has focused its strategy toward Cuba on increasing sanctions and economic pressure rather than using military force to change the country's leadership.
According to Bloomberg, cited by Report, Washington intends to cut off the Cuban authorities' sources of revenue and exacerbate internal divisions in order to create conditions for negotiations with the country's leadership, which has previously rejected US demands for change.
Earlier, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said that the US administration was considering all options for further action regarding Cuba, including military measures.
