US set to launch secondary sanctions on Russia August 8

The United States plans to hit Russia with secondary sanctions. These measures will be approved on Friday, August 8, Reuters wrote, Report informs via RBC Ukraine.
An unnamed White House official told the outlet that the meeting between US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Putin was successful.
The official added that the Russians are interested in continuing cooperation with the US and that the secondary sanctions are expected to be imposed on Friday.
