US provides Ukraine with over 1 million howitzer rounds

The US has given Ukraine more than a million howitzer rounds. The munitions are part of an $18.2 billion funding package from the Joe Biden administration, the US Defense Ministry said in a release, Report informs via RBC-Ukraine.
Thus, the Ukrainian side received 903,000 pieces of 155-mm M795 rounds for M777 howitzers, 7,000 shells of the RAAMS mining system, 180,000 shells for 105-mm cannons and 3,000 155-mm Excalibur M982 long-range guided active-rocket shells. This amounts to more than 1.09 million shells weighing more than 50,000 tons.
Besides, the United States has provided Ukraine with more than 1,400 Stinger anti-aircraft systems, more than 8,500 Javelin anti-tank systems, and more than 37,000 other anti-tank systems.
