US imposes sanctions against several individuals associated with Hamas and IRGC

The US has imposed new sanctions on several individuals linked to Hamas and Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps over the attack on Israel, US Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo wrote on X, Report informs.

The US Treasury Department has announced sanctions targeting new assets in Hamas’ investment portfolio and individuals who facilitate sanctions evasion, he noted. These actions underscore the US commitment to taking action to curb Hamas’ access to funds, he said.

This is the second package of US sanctions against key officials and financial networks associated with Hamas.
