US evaluates effectiveness of sanctions against Russia

The US adheres to its strategy of sanctions pressure on Russia and considers it effective, State Department spokesman Ned Price said, Report informs referring to foreign media.

This strategy not only involves financial sanctions, but also export control measures, which in the near future and even more so in the long term will starve the Russian industrial and technological base for defense, space, and other critical and strategic sectors, Price said.

As confirmation of this position, he cited the statement of the Bank of Russia that the Russian economy will no longer be the same as it was before February 24.
