US Energy Secretary leaves his post

Rick Perry sent out a tweet on Sunday marking his last day as Energy secretary, thanking the American people for the privilege, Report informs citing foreign media.
“Serving as Secretary of @ENERGY under @realDonaldTrump has been the honor of a lifetime,” Perry wrote in the tweet.
It was earlier reported that Perry planned to resigned in late 2019 and return to work in Texas, where he had previously been a governor.
