US base in Syria comes under shelling attack, no casualties reported

A US air base in Syria came under attack, but no casualties were reported among US servicemen there, a US defense official has told TASS, Report informs.

"We are aware of these reports and currently assess no casualties and no damage," the source said.

Reuters, in turn, reported that shells had been fired towards the facility, but failed to reach it.
