Ursula von der Leyen to visit Estonia-Russia border

President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen will visit Estonia today, where she will meet with the republic's leadership and visit the city of Narva, where the border checkpoint with Russia is located, Report informs via Interfax.
In the morning, Ursula von der Leyen will meet with Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, after which they will hold a joint press conference.
Besides, the EC President will meet with Estonian President Alar Karis. Von der Leyen will also visit the memorial to the victims of communism.
Then the head of the European Commission and the Prime Minister of Estonia will fly by helicopter to Narva, where they are scheduled to visit the Narva border checkpoint.
They are also expected to visit the territory of the former Soviet-era industrial giant, the Krenholmskaya Manufactory cotton mill. According to media reports, it was founded in the 19th century by the ancestor of von der Leyen, after the restoration of independence, it was privatized in 1995 by the Swedish company Boras Wafer, and went bankrupt in 2010.
