"The pandemic is a test for international cooperation that we have failed," UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told, Report says.

According to him, "the virus has already killed almost a million people "worldwide and "infected more than 30 million" people.

"He's out of control," he added.

According to the WHO, as of September 24, 31,664,104 cases of coronavirus were recorded globally, while 972,221 people died.

Guterres previously called the COVID-19 pandemic "the fifth horseman of the Apocalypse."

On December 31, 2019, Chinese authorities announced an outbreak of pneumonia in China's Wuhan, and the causative agent is a new type of coronavirus officially named COVID-19.

On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a new coronavirus outbreak a pandemic.
