The biodiversity crisis, climate change issues, and financial inequality threaten developing countries, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said during an expanded outreach format meeting at the outreach/BRICS plus session, Report's correspondent from Kazan informs.
Crises threaten many vulnerable countries. The situation must change, he noted.
Guterres reminded that at the Summit of the Future held in September, a roadmap was presented for strengthening multilateralism, promoting peace and sustainable development, as well as human rights.
Today's financing system for fighting climate change does not allow many vulnerable countries to achieve the necessary level of social security, he said.
