Poor countries received only 10% of corn and 40% of wheat within the grain deal, while most of the grain was sent to rich countries, Report informs with reference to the UN Coordination Center.
"Compared to the data for 2017-2021, the deal provided delivery to the poorest countries in the same proportions as previously in Ukraine's trade, but the proportions of relatively rich countries turned out to be higher," the center said.
During the year, low-income countries such as Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen received 822,000 tons of more than 33 million tons within the deal, according to the UN.
In total, 1,003 ships with grain left the ports of Ukraine during the entire period of the grain deal, which is more than 32.8 million tons of cargo. It is also noted that since June 27, not a single vessel has received permission to pass.
