UN helicopter crashes in east of DR Congo

A helicopter chartered by the UN World Food Program (WFP) crashed on Friday in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) on the territory of the Virunga Reserve, the Congolese news portal Actualite reported with reference to the head of the community where the crash occurred, Mvami Bauma.
"The helicopter crash happened on the morning of September 2, all three people who were on board were taken to the hospital," Bauma said, Report informs, citing TASS. The condition of the victims is not revealed.
The head of the military administration of the Nyiragongo district, Colonel Iduma Molengo, confirmed the fact of the UN helicopter accident, but did not name its cause.
