UN chief expresses gratitude to Turkiye

UN Secretary-General António Guterres expressed his deep gratitude to Turkiye and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the extension of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
As the quad meeting - Russia, Turkiye and Ukraine agreed on the renewal of the BSGI, he said.
"I want to express my deep appreciation to Recep Tayyip Erdogan & Türkiye. Without their generosity & commitment this initiative would never have been born. Istanbul remains the centre of a remarkable diplomatic achievement," the UN chief said.
