Every year, 1.3 million people die in road accidents, and 50 million people get injured, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres tweeted, Report informs.
According to the secretary-general, this is the leading cause of death for children and young people.
“We must make roads safer and save lives around the world,” he added.
