Ukrainian government proposes to increase budget expenditures by $14B

At an extraordinary meeting on March 13, the Ukrainian Government supported a draft law to increase state budget expenditures by UAH 537 billion ($14.68 billion), Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said, Report informs.

"More than UAH 518 billion ($14.16 billion) is proposed to be allocated to the security and defense sector, and the reserve fund is to be increased by another UAH 19 billion ($520 million)," he said.

"Thanks to the support of our international partners, we have secured additional financial resources to support our Army. In the draft law, we propose to allocate additional funds for payments to the military, procurement of military and special equipment, etc. We count on the support of the Parliament," said Denys Shmyhal.
