Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy Russian Mi-28 helicopter using FPV drone

The Ukrainian military carried out a unique operation - shot down a Russian Mi-28 helicopter with an FPV drone, according to Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine commander Robert Brovdi, commonly known by his call sign Madyar, Report informs, via RBC-Ukraine.

"The Mi-28 helicopter was destroyed by an FPV drone operated by pilots from the 59th Brigade of the Unmanned Systems Forces," Madyar said.

The Russian Mi-28 attack helicopter, also known as the Night Hunter, is designed to destroy armored vehicles, fortifications, and enemy personnel. It is equipped with a modern guidance system, a powerful 30 mm cannon, and can carry a variety of guided and unguided missiles.

Thanks to its armored crew cabin and high maneuverability, the Mi-28 is designed to operate even in difficult combat conditions, including night operations.
