Ukraine plans to raise the issue of Russia's future participation in the UN Security Council December 26, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stated on the air of the telethon, Report informs.
"We at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are asking more questions, and tomorrow we will officially come up with a position. We have a very simple question - does Russia have the right to remain a permanent member of the UN Security Council and the United Nations in general?" Kuleba noted.
He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has a convincing and reasoned answer: no, it does not.
The minister added that the issue of Russia's future after its defeat in Ukraine is no longer forbidden for discussion in world diplomacy:
"These issues are not yet discussed at press conferences and public statements of state and government leaders, but at ordinary people are already asking what should be done so that Russia does not threaten peace and security?"
