Ukraine to donate tons of grain to starving African countries

Ukraine will allocate humanitarian aid to Ethiopia and Somalia. The Cabinet of Ministers will send 50,000 tons of grain to African countries, reads the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, Report informs citing UNIAN.
Grain, which is owned by the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine JSC, will be sent as humanitarian aid. The company will be reimbursed the cost of grain for 420 million hryvnias ($11.381 million) from the state budget reserve fund.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will have to coordinate with the UN the delivery and the issue of payment for the transportation of goods from the Odesa Sea Commercial Port to these countries at the expense of international organizations.
